    Interesting article from the April Weekend Australian on vacancy rates. Unlike the US we have a shortage of housing in many parts of our wide brown land and it doesn't appear to be abating. With vacancy rates now hovering around 1% nationally its tough times for tenants.

    And there is no light at the end of the tunnel.
    I think we need more insentives for developers and the easiest thing IMO would be to introduce easier lending.
    We need a nationwide lending scheme for residential developments.
    Ofcourse lower state taxes would help as well
