Tpd approved with a hairy question no one can answer!

    Hello Everyone .
    I've just had my TPD accepted and have just recently found out that even though I'm moving from Australia to New Zealand within 3 months , I must pay the Australian Government $90,000 out of my TPD .
    Because I'm leaving Australia I cannot understand why I must pay this can anyone please help me to understand this.

    Hi, my husband and I live in NZ and are going through the process of TPD claim. What did you find out regarding the $90k tax, pretty scary if its the same for us. Cheers
