TPD claim through Superfund

    My TPD claim through my super is going on; not yet decided. I am not working; my wife who works and has a business as well wants to transfer part of her earnings through business on my name under family trust (before tax-effectively I will have to pay tax: which in a way she will pay)
    Just curious; can it affect my TPD payout figure.

    Hi Romy

    Total and permanent disability (TPD) insurance provides cover if you are totally and permanently disabled. If a TPD claim is paid, the amount paid will be the sum insured. Whether or not the claim is successful is dependent on whether you meet the insurers definition of what is totally and permanently disabled.
