I have created a Deed of Variation for a Trust. I have added a Pty Ltd as new Trustee for the Trust.

Do I have to register the Deed of Variation with a govt body or similar? Are there fees involved like Stamp Duty? I live in WA.

Usually it is your state's Office of State Revenue (or equivalent) which deals with stamp duty obligations - you would need to check with them.

Department of Treasury and Finance WA

I suspect you will need to have the Trust Deed re-stamped (ie pay new stamp duty on it) - I've never done this before so I'm not exactly sure what is involved.
