U.N. panel says world should ditch dollar | U.S. | Reuters
There are a lot of countries all around the world that have been talking for a long time about moving off the USD as the reserve currency of the world.
I'll be very interested to see if and how this plays out. My only real fear is that this new reserve currency will still be a fiat currency that will still be under the control of a self serving organisation - something similar to te IMF.
It will also be interesting to see just how quickly the US crumbles if enough of the world agree to move away from the USD... it's probably the single biggest reason its economy is still functioning as well as it is, which isn't saying a lot.
