CompareShares has a poll running to decide "Forum of the Year" and is asking people to cast their vote for the best stockmarket forum in Australia. I realise this forum is not really a pure shares forum but it's good they've acknowledged this site as a nominee. I doubt we'll get a lot of votes due to current membership numbers but it's nice to know that we are on the radar :)

So if you have a moment pop over and cast your vote for "invested":
CompareShares.com.au - vote for the best stock forum

Sim / Steve may win a box of nice chocolates or something!

They've written a feature article about share forums:

The Battle of the Forums – truth in numbers

"why you keep posting, why you feel others value your opinion, why you have confidence in the opinions of others."

I like that bit. I think I prefer this forum better than somersoft for example because there appears to be less noise here, and posts dont fall off the page and into obscurity as quickly here. I would spend most of my web time on these forums, with visits to somersoft when there are no new posts here.

I have confidence in the opinions of others here because they are for the most part already doing what I want to do....seeing good returns from investing and or living on equity.
