We are looking to buy our first home. We think this is the right time to buy our first home as interest rates going down and first home grant boosted. More over our landlord increased our rent a lot when interests gone up but not reducing a single dollar when they going down.(is it fair? I dont know.May be i do the same when i become land lord. :D)

Can any one please tell me what are the additional costs involved in buying a house apart from the sale price?

Our budget is around $450,000. I am looking to buy a house in Glenwood (post code 2768) or surrounding areas. Any comments on these areas?

Thanks in advance for your help.

    Hi KP

Have attached my First Home Owners Fact Sheet here for your benefit, which outlines costs etc that you're likely to encounter. Hope this helps.
I know and like Glenwood, though would advise trying to stay away from Old Windsor Rd and Freeway sides if you can avoid them. Very noisy!!
