    Hi
I am new to this forum, and new to property investing.

I am looking for some guidance about buying in the St George Area. Budget is approximately $300,000, possibly to $350k. i am looking at a unit as an invesment property.

Any suggestions as to how to go about picking good suburbs in this area?

    Thanks
    Tina

Hi Tina, welcome to the forum. If you had a bigger budget, we could talk as I'm about to list my IP with an agent, why give them a commission ;)

I can't comment on other suburbs in the St George area, as my unit is located in Kogarah, so I can talk about that. It's an easy walk to the station, and both the public & private hospitals. In the 9 1/2 years the unit has been vacant for no more than a week, and that was only because it was being painted, otherwise they would have moved in right after the previous tenants move out. Return / income has always been good as well, any once you get nurse(s) renting it, they always know someone that wants to move in when they move out.

    Good luck.
